I was recently talking to a colleague, Les Deck. He has a presentation on Slideshare called The New Normal Economy. It is about the probable results of all the changes that have taken place in the economy and what it will mean to us. Les says that we will be looking for more value, quality and sustainability.
I totally agree with him. I truly believe Social Media is helping to shape this New Normal Economy. Those that use it correctly know that it is about building new partnerships and relationships. Old methods of marketing are becoming outdated.
Social media technology tools are simply giving us the platforms. What we do with them to build those lasting relationships is what will make a difference. We live in a world of instant gratification. I believe what Les is talking is building the bridge back to the values in society- what is real and sustaining and utilizing these tools to spread those quality messages.
My goal is to help as many people young or old to help embrace these tools so their voices can be heard. For me, that is inspirational and fulfilling.
